
Valerie Avant -
Sister Mary Leo

Valerie is a junior at Brentwood School and
the daughter of William and Janet Avant. She is a member of the
drama class at Brentwood where she has performed in the productions
of Cinderella, Inc. , Charlie and the Six Chicks and Crying Out.
She is a member of the Anchor Club, the Pi Society, and the S. Beta
Club. Valerie is also the representative on the Brentwood Homecoming
Court for her Junior Class. This is her second production with SCT.

Kendra Biggins -
Sister Mary Gloria |
This is Kendra’s first performance
with SCT . She has 2 children Idaja and Diamond and is engaged
to be married in November to Charles Robinson. She is a founding
member of Female Relationships Under Inspired Truthwhich is an
organization dedicated to helping young women reach their potentials
and goals. She is currently working on her Masters in Public Administration.

Ofelia Bobo -
Sister Mary Ruth
|
This is Ofelia's first production with SCT,
but she has performed with the School House Players in Bartow.
She was Melody Nelson in Slow DOwn Sweet Chariot. She and her
husband Hiram moved to Gibson three years ago and have a CPA practice.
They have one "child" the family doger Fluffy. Singing
is her passion and she is a member of the Wrens UMC Praise Band.

Cecille Brown -
Sister Mary Cardelia
|
Cecille Brown has performed in Sandersville Community Theatre productions
since inception. Her past SCT shows include The Dining Room, Dark
of the Moon, Lil’ Abner and Rumors. She also participated
in the Music Club’s production of Suds 2000. Cecille loves
animals, enjoys singing with the Ladies Ensemble at her church,
likes cooking, reading, and working with Community Theater. She
is employed with the Geo. D. Warthen Bank as the mortgage loan office
and is married to Billy Brown. |
Taunia Brown -
Sister Mary Myopia
|
Taunia is excited to be joining the SCT for the 2nd time. Her first
appearance was in Hello Dolly. The last few years her expertise
has been on the other side of the curtain directing shows such as
Once Upon a Housetop, Assignment Earth, We Haz Jazz, Tom Sawyer
and Oz. Taunia is married to Chris Brown and has three children
Raisha, Dylan and Robbie. Lately her greatest joy is spoiling her
grandson Kaden. |

Tara Cramer-
Sister Mary Amnesia

Tara is a 1994 graduate of Washington County
High School and has been a dance student of Cathy Moore for 12 years.
She played roles in one act productions through high school and
part of the girls ensemble for literary competitions. She was a
1998 graduate from Georgia Southern University. This is her third
production with SCT. Last summer she played Jack’s mother
in Into The Woods and this summer was in the ensemble of Beauty
and the Beast. |

Katie Farris-
Sister Robert Anne

Katie is a 2007 graduate from Washington County
High School. She appeared in many shows including Annie, A Funny
Thing happened on the Way to The Forum, Dark of The Moon, Bye Bye
Birdie, Fools, The Crucible, The Music Man, Godspell, and Scapino.
In her performance in Fools, she won the title of Best Actress in
the region. She’s also been a part of the SCT. Credits include,
Once On This Island, Oklahoma!, Hello, Dolly!, The South of Music,
Arsenic and Old Lace and most recently as LeFou in Beauty and The
Beast. Katie went to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA)
in New York City and graduated in October of 2008. She’s thrilled
to be back in action with SCT. |

Susan Farris –
Sister Mary Julia
(Child of God)

Susan has proudly been a part of many SCT shows
including Oklahoma!, Hello Dolly., Into The Woods, The Best Christmas
Pageant Ever. Her most recent role was Madame De La Grande Bouche
in Beauty and the Beast. She teaches at Elder Middle School and
is happily married to Bill Farris. She is the proud mother of two,
Joe and Katie. She and Katie are performing in this production together.
She’s also the mother of Sister Marionette.

Christy Harrison-
Sister Mary Christine
|
Christy is a newcomer to Washington County.
She is a certified teacher in the areas of Elementary Education
and Special Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. After teaching
eight years in public school systems she started her dream job of
motherhood. She and her husband Nathaniel reside in Harrison with
their two children Lucille and Lewis. This is Christy’s second
production with SCT, you will remember her as the wicked witch in
Beauty and The Beast. She is also our wardrobe mistress and is very
talented. |
Anne Knox Hodges -
Sister Mary Anne
|
Anne Knox has performed with SCT as a nun before
in The Sound of Music . She is a member of the Music Club and sings
in the choir with The First Christian Church. While you normally
see her at the ticket table since she had experience as a nun we
pressed her into service. She also sits on the board for SCT and
the Grass Roots Arts program. She is married to Allen, has three
children and is participating in this production with her daughter
Suzanna. |

Suzanna Hodges-
Sister Mary Catherine
|
Suzanna is a Sophomore at Brentwood School
and won First Place State Literary Award for Piano. This is Suzanna’s
second production for SCT, her first being Beauty And The Beast.
She is the daughter of Allen and Anne Knox Hodges. |

Sharon Ivey-
Sister Mary Kelly
|
Sharon hails from Wrightsville and this is her first performance
with SCT. She is active in her church and Ivey Electric. Sharon
is married to Wayne with two daughters Lindsey and Heather and one
granddaughter Elizabeth. |

Mary Grace Kay-
Sister Mary Regina
|
Mary Grace is the retired choral director from
WCHS and a graduate of Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Music
degree. She was a original member of SCT, is a board member and
has played many roles over the years such as Cookie Cusack in Rumors,
Mother Abbess in Sound of Music and the narrator for Into The Woods,
and in the ensemble for Hello Dolly, and Oklahoma!.She was in the
emsemble for Beauty And The Beast. She is married to Billy Kay,
they have 3 children and 5 grandchildren |

Susan Lewis -
Sister Mary Louise

Susan’s avocation is the theatre and
her experience includes roles both with SCT and the School House
Players in Bartow. She played acrophobic Fern in The View From Here,
and the barber in Truman Capote’s Grass Harp . Her favorite
role is a skirt swisher in any SCT productionand her last appearance
was as an enchanted plate in Beauty and the Beast. |

Linda Poole -
Sister Mary Martha

Linda also hails from Wrightsville and this
is also her first performance with SCT. You can also see her handiwork
in the Grease and Mount St. Helens signs. She has three children,
Caleb, Nathan and Jacob and four grandchildren. |

Adrienne Smith -
Sister Mary Hubert
|
This is Adrienne’s third production with
SCT. She was in The Sound of Music and played Reno Sweeny in Anything
Goes. She is enjoying this production with her mother Mary Grace
Kay. She is married to Phil Smith and they have one daughter Natalie. |
Wayne Walker -
Father
|
Even though this is Wayne’s first production
with SCT he is a veteran performer with the Bartow Players. He just
completed Honkey Tonk Angels but you can usually catch him in at
least one production a year in Bartow. He is unemployed and praying
for retirement, but still enjoys small engine repair, cooking, grandchildren
and making all kinds of music. Married to Linda, his other claim
to fame is that he makes a mean but hot batch of cheese straws. |
