Robert Ashley
(Rev. Dr. Harper and Officer o'Hara)
Robert Ashley graduated from Southern Polytechnic and State University in 1986 with A Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology. He then moved to Tennille to work for the Georgia Department of Transportation. He supervises a drill crew that takes samples of soil that are used on road construction projects. Robert enjoys gardening and keeping up the yard. He sings in the Sandersville First Baptist Church adult choir and the Highest Praise Singers Ensemble. His first major stage production was Into the Woods as Cinderella’s Father. His latest SCT production was Bob in the Best Christmas Pageant Ever.

Mike Cowan
(Jonathan Brewster)
Mike has been in Sandersville since 1978 and was the owner CLS Package Store for 23 years. After "retiring" in 2004 he decided to try a new career and is now General Manager of WJFL-FM. His production credits include MIKADO (Macon ACT)and PROMENADE ALL (Macon ACT). His SCT performances have been memorable because he is so versatile first in OKLAHOMA and then in ANYTHING GOES as Elijah J. Whitney. In this production you will see Mike not as a comedic character but as a sinister man.

Cecille Brown
(Elaine Harper)
Cecille Brown has performed in Sandersville Community Theatre productions since inception. Her past SCT shows include The Dining Room, Dark of the Moon, Lil’ Abner and Rumors. She played the lead role of Grace Bradley in the 2008 production of Best Christmas Pageant Ever. She also participated in the Music Club’s production of Suds 2000. Cecille loves animals, enjoys singing with the Ladies Ensemble at her church, likes cooking, reading, and working with Community Theater. She is employed with the Geo. D. Warthen Bank as the mortgage loan office and is married to Billy Brown.


Katie Farris
(Abby Brewster)
Katie has just returned from New York City, finishing up a two year Musical Theatre program at American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She has been in many shows both in school and with SCT. Her credits include Scapino, Godspell, Fools, Crucible, The Music Man, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum during her years at WACO. She was also lauded with a Best Actress Award for Fools. Her SCT shows have been The Sound of Music, Hello,Dolly!, Oklahoma!, and Once on This Island. She enjoys writing and cooking in her spare time. We are glad to have her back!

Sam Goodrich
(Mortimer Brewster)

Sam was born in Sandersville and went to school in this building when it was Sandersville High School. He has longed been involved in the business community by his former ownership of the Vogue Men's Store on the square in downtown Sandersville. He currently works for Citizens Bank of Washington County in the Marketing Department. Sam debuted his acting skills in the Sandersville Music Club's, The Kudzu series, as himself and has performed with SCT in Cole Porter's ANYTHING GOES as Sir Evelyn. He also appeared as Ernie Cusack in the 2008 production of RUMORS. Sam is married to Paula and has one child Deborah.


Bryant Jordan
( Dr. Einstein)
Bryant Jordan is an alumni of Georgia College & State University, where he received a Bachelors degree in Theatre, and where he recently completed the MAT graduate program. Over the years, Bryant has performed numerous roles, both on and off the stage, including positions as a performer, director, stage manager, and designer of lighting, sound, set, and publicity. Some of Bryant’s performance credits include The Mouse King in The Nutcracker Ballet, Mendel in Fiddle On The Roof, Giorgio in Museum, and Mr. Webb in Our Town, as well as in numerous roles with The Sandersville Community Theatre, including Ali Hakkim in Oklahoma, Uncle Smelicue Jed in Dark Of The Moon, Senator Jack S. Phogbound in Li’l Abner, and most recently as The Wolf in Into the Woods. Bryant has also designed many production posters for WCHS, SCT, and GCSU, including several for the college’s annual production of The Nutcracker Ballet. Bryant would like to thank all of those who have given him so much love and support through the years. “Seek a Life Useful.” *

Brian Machalk

Brian was raised in upper Michigan and came to Georgia by way of the U.S. Army in Augusta, Ga. after completeing nursing school. He met and married Gloria and decided Georgia was a pretty good place to stay. He has a daughter 19 attending Ga. Southern and a son 14, Cody who is Officer klein in this production. He is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and the owner of the Pastime Theatre in Sandersville and the Pal Theatre in Louisville. He has also begun a new career as an Aflac agent. Brian's love of the theatre extends to many productions both at Bartow Community Theatre and the Sandersville Community Theatre. He has been a stalwart with the Bartow Players by being in THE GAZEBO, A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, RUMORS, EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN,WHILE THE LIGHTS WERE OUT, and MURDER AT THE HOWARD JOHNSONS. He joined SCT in the production of ANYTHING GOES as Captain of the Ship.


Cody Machalk

Cody is 14 years old and this play is his debut. The acting gene must run in the family and he is acting alongside his father Brian in this production. Cody moved here this Christmas from Kewaskum, WI. and is enjoying the weather! He is a Freshman at Jefferson County High School. He enjoys hunting, golfing and BMX Biking.

Caleb Sawyer
(Teddy Brewster)
Caleb, age 27, who hails from Ellery, Illinois, has been In Washington County for 3 years and once SCT found out he could act AND sing we have been trying to lure him to our stage. Finally we are successful and this is his first role with SCT. In his "real" life Caleb holds a Wildlife Biology Degree from Southeast Illionois College. He is the Wildlife& Fisheries Manager for ROLLING PINE PLANTATION owned by the Sheppard Family. He enjoys being outdoors, fishing, writing, singing & recording country music.

Joel Tillirson
(Dr. Witherspoon)
Joel is a seventh grader at Brentwood School. He is actively involved in many school and church related activities. Joel made his debut for SCT with THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER in December as one of the Herdmans. His early acting roles have been leading parts such as "Woody" in THE TALE OF THREE TREES and as "Father" in KING OF THE JUNGLE. Joel attends the Sandersville United Methodist Church where he is a member of the youth praise band. Joel enjoys running cross country, playing tennis, playing the piano, and playing the pipe organ. His parents are Eric and Jennifer Tillirson.

Peggy Veal
(Martha Brewster)
Peggy Veal is a native of Sandersville and graduated from both Brentwood and Georgia State University. Peggy has been involved with SCT since its inception in 1999. She was in the SCT productions of The Dining Room, Dark of the Moon, and Lil’ Abner. Her most recent performance with SCT was in the best Christmas Pageant Ever where she played the formidible Helen Armstrong. Also she has been part of several school and church productions over the years. She is a member of her church choir and Ladies Ensemble. Her favorite pastimes include reading, scrap booking, and acting.

Shaun Veal
( Lieutenant Rooney)

Shaun is a Sandersville native and employed by The Sandersville Railroad Company as Auditor, Freight Accounts. He fills his off time by volunteering in the community as newsletter editor and Chair of the Sandersville Old City Cemetery Committee of the Washington County Historical Society, editor of Brentwood's newsletter, holder of several offices at Pleasant Grove Baptist CHurch including editor of the church newsletter, and is Region 4 Assistant-Representative for the Georgia Municipal Cemetery Assn. Shaun has been with the Sandersville Community Theatre since inception, his first two productions were THE DINING ROOM and DARK OF THE MOON and was last involved with THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER. Not only is he playing a role but he will be the prop manager backstage.
